Performance improvements on UB-Lab

Our standard UB-Lab (UB-Lab S2 now) had a minimal resolution of 4.0mm. The need for a higher resolution with UVP system first arose from ETHZ (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich), who worked on in-line rheometry for chocolate viscosity measurement. Since 2012, we actively collaborate with them on this topic.

For 4 years we have been offering a HSR (High Spatial Resolution) option that allowed to measure with a single resolution of 0.36mm between cells. Our customers and partners expressed the need of more spatial resolution steps between 0.36 and 4.0 mm.

Now this has been achieved within a new software upgrade: From now on, our profilers for laboratory can achieve many resolution starting between 0.36 and 4mm (0.36 ; 0.53 ; 0.71 ; … values given at 1480m/s). This upgrade comes with an improvement of the global performances of the software.
