Pumping system efficiency study in Italy

We designed new DN125 transducers holders for the efficiency study of the pumping system.

The use of 2 transducers on each bracket allows the measurement of 2-component velocity profiles and accurate flow discharge assessment through the 1800 mm diameter pipe section. These were designed to be installed in new pumping pipes delivering additional 20 m3/s for a total of 70 m3/s diverted water discharge from the Po River to the irrigation network of the Canale Emiliano Romagnolo in Italy.

This study will be done by the University of Bologna and will contribute to the efficient use of resources and will support agriculture production of the Region in times of water scarcity.
