The 14th Symposium on River, Coastal and Estuarine Morphodynamics (RCEM) took place in Barcelona from September 1-5, 2025.

In collaboration with the Departamento de Ingeniería Civil y Ambiental (DECA) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Ubertone proposed a side event of RCEM: an introduction and demonstration of acoustic profilers for laboratory applications on a hydraulic flume with 8 participants.

Throughout the symposium, the Ubertone technical team engaged with attendees at our exhibition booth. We presented illustrated technical posters detailing the applicability of acoustic profiling technology for quantifying sediment transport phenomena and characterizing complex fluid dynamics in experimental setups.

A demonstration tank provided a live visualization of the profilers' operational principles and real-time data acquisition potential. These interactions facilitated detailed discussions regarding the specific measurement requirements of researchers and the optimal integration of our acoustic profilers into diverse laboratory configurations.
