River Flow 2026: Sun, Science, and Great Memories
What a sunny edition of River Flow 2026! Looking back at early July, the Ubertone team showcased our acoustic measurement solutions at our booth, connecting with the hydrodynamics research community.
We hosted our interactive workshop with a unique twist this time: as the hydraulics lab wasn't functional, we adapted and demonstrated our acoustic instrumentation using a small portable setup.
Marie presented the initial results of her thesis research about ADVP during Masterclass 5. Assessing Turbulent Flows in the lab using laser and acoustic methods., where other students also presented their research and could discuss with experienced researchers on different measurement methods.

Gilles PIERREFEU from the CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône) presented joint work by CNR, INRAE and Ubertone : Measurement of the fine and sand suspended concentration reference across all transect on the French Upper River Rhône, by Pierrefeu, G., Dramais, G., Camenen, Perret, E., Fischer, S.
Beyond the technical sessions, the conference dinner was an exceptional evening filled with vibrant conversations, great food, which finished on a heated dancefloor! The field trip was equally memorable, taking us on a fascinating journey to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aigai, where we explored the spectacular Royal Tombs of Vergina and the rich history of ancient Macedonia.
A warm thank you to the organizers for putting together such a seamless, engaging, and top-tier event!
