3rd edition of our Workshop on Ultrasonic Doppler - under scottish colors
This 3rd edition of the WUD (Workshop on Ultrasonic Doppler) took place as a pre-conference workshop of ISEH (International Symposium on Eco-Hydraulics) in Aberdeen, UK, on the 24th of June 2024.
We would like to thank our co-organisers from the University of Aberdeen, including professors, administrative personnel, researchers, students, for welcoming us in the hydraulic lab and co-organising this very successful workshop!
Two technologies for measuring velocity profiles were presented and made available to the participants to install on flumes, use the graphical user interface, and get acquainted with the parameters. A UB-Lab P with 3MHz transducers, used as a high resolution ADCP, was deployed in a smooth vs rough bed setup. And a UB-Lab 2C (ADVP) was used in an obstacle perturbation exercise.
The participants came from various countries, and backgrounds: PhD students, Master students, technicians, researchers, professors. Coffee breaks and lunch, sponsored by Ubertone, were also a very nice opportunity to discuss in a more relaxed environment.
